These recordings trace my journey as a violist.
Each piece marks a step in how I’ve learned to listen: to the music, to others, and to myself.
Brahms Viola Sonata No. 1 in F Minor
Brahms’s F minor Sonata has always felt like a conversation between strength and vulnerability. I love how the music constantly shifts from fiery to introspective, mirroring how emotion unfolds in real life.
Walton Viola Concerto Movement 2
The second movement of Walton’s concerto feels playful and spontaneous. It challenges me to find balance between precision and freedom: to let the instrument speak with its full range of colors and moods.
Bach Suite #6 in D Major, Prelude
The Prelude from Bach’s Sixth Suite is a piece I return to often. Its simplicity and beauty make every phrase feel like a moment of reflection. For me, breathing with the music is the best way to enjoy this piece, as each phrase transitions like a waterfall into the next.
